Lisa Wigger creates contemporary art jewelry and other works of art that are handcrafted in sterling silver, fine silver, solid gold, precious and semiprecious stones, and alternative materials. Lisa is a metalsmith who fabricates all of her pieces primary in sterling silver and gold, and incorporates color into her designs with the use of gemstones, resin, paper, and textiles.
Her inspirations include repetition in nature and the mathematical processes involved in natural phenomenon. Many of her designs involve complex calculations or concepts hidden within her pieces. The Fibonacci Sequence plays a big part in many designs. Lisa has a Master's degree in Metals and Jewelry from Savannah College of Art and Design, and three bachelor degrees from Louisiana State University in Accounting, Marketing and Management. Lisa tries to create something for everyone, with materials ranging from plastic and paper to gold and gemstones.
